This is like malware, this will attack when you download any unwanted softwares in your system. Follow the below process to remove the newtab virus with Awesomehp and in Search preferences.
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
2. Then you can see a folder with names browser
3. Go to inside 'browser' folder and select 'searchplugins' C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\searchplugins
then remove awesomehp xml file from the list of xml files. then restart your system.
