Anushka was born in the famous Bellipady family which is a sect of Iyer’s and have great respect in their society. Anushka’s shetty’s mother tongue happens to be Tullu as she was born in Mangalore. Anushka finished her graduation in the Bachelor of Computer Application’s from Mount Caramel college of Bangalore University. Anushka completed her schooling and college in Bangalore.After that she learned Yoga and became a Yoga instructer.
Anushka was a Yoga Instructor before she entered into films. Anushka made her debut in telugu film tittled 'SUPER' in 2005 which was opposite to Toolywood’s one of the big hero Nagarjuna. Puri Jagannadh happened to see Anushka through another director and she got selected for Super. Her debut film in tamil was Rendu opposite Madhavan. Whenever Anushka is free with her schedule she loves to perform yoga. Her acting in Vikramarkudu got the appreciation of youngsters. She has also rendered playback singing in several films.
